Paños, made of fine, expensive cloth, drape the enthroned orishas during public festivals so that they appear amidst luxury as royal presences that radiate ashé. Nong, the third generation in a family line of internationally-known fashion designers, combines Parisian haute couture, pan-Asian sensibility, and Afro-Cuban orisha aesthetics. This selection of fine paños represents the first in a line now being developed at Folkcuba.com. The examples shown may be special ordered, and will be made by hand by Nong. Paños for Obatalá, Yemayá, Ochún, and other orichas that have different paths can be made according to the colors those paths carry.
