Lucumí batá drums from Havana. Made by S. López, February 2001. Cedar; goatskin heads and straps; lathe-turned outside; hand-opened inside. Dimensions: Iyá (13x7.25x28.5 left); Itótole (10x7x27.5 middle); Okókolo (7x5x20 right). Consecration-ready. LUI-1402 Set: $1500. López, a professional drum maker, produces batá and other traditional Afro-Cuban percussion instruments for members of the Conjunto Folklórico Nacional de Cuba, such as Olo-Elegba and Olubatá Alberto Villareal.
