Unknown, Agogó de Odúa and Agogó de Olofin , chrome-plated metal, wire, lead clappers, 9 1/2" long and 10 1/2"
x 10 1/2", respectively. Havana, 2000. The first bell (agogó,
from the Yoruba), consisting of a tubular handle with four conical bells
at each extreme, totaling 8, is used by babalawos in Havana to salute Odúa), the Creator of the Earth and the origin of birth and death.
The bell on the right, used to salute Olofin, "The Owner of
the Law," consists of a circular ring bisected by a tube that serves
as a handle; it features a conical bell at each of the four cardinal points.
