An unprecedented full length DVD of the batá drumming of Alfred Calvo Matanzas style. There are nine selections from three different public drumming celebrations, which illustrate drum rhythms, songs, and dances for the orishas and voduns. For example, there are rare demonstrations of palo rhythms played on añá and three styles of orisha and vodun  drumming: Majino (Arará), Sabalú (Arará), and Macagua (Lucumí). Also there are interviews with Alfredo Calvo, elder of the Egbado branch of the Lucumí tradition. The interviews have Spanish and English subtitles.

Hay nueve selecciones tomadas de tres fiestas diferentes, que muestran los ritmos, cantos, y bailes para los orishas y los fodduces. Por ejemplo, hay muestras preciosas de los ritmos de palo tocados en los tambores añá y tres estilos de los toques de los orishas y los fodduces: Majino (Arará), Sabalú (Arará), and Macagua (Lucumí).
